The internet is the easiest and fastest way to start off. Directoryfordiscountdesignerhandbags8723 you need to do is doing a search in major search engines such as Google, Yahoo or MSN. When you key in “wholesale urban clothing” for example, tons Juniorsapparel946 websites pointing to wholesale urban clothing will be listed. Ebay

Ebay is another good source of information when you are looking for wholesale urban clothing. You can search by the brand Freeunclaimedmoneysearch6523 or generic terms like “ladies top”. Always include “wholesale” or “supplier” in your search term to narrow the search. Again, this is for research purpose and distributor information should be verified before doing business with them. Wholesale Directories

Probably the most recommended method. There are many Singaporepopemailwebhostsingapore958 wholesaler and supplier directories on internet. However, they differ in terms of quality of distributors listed and support. Some directories will list anyone as long as they get paid which is not good. There are, however, good directories with proper reviews on suppliers and one such directory even has a Holdempoker5340 where members who are retailers exchange ideas and comment on suppliers they work with. You have a much higher chance of success in finding reliable wholesale urban clothing distributors this way.

Contact Manufacturer

If you have a particular brand name in mind, you can contact the manufacturer and look for the wholesalers around your region. In certain scenarios, a company may have the sole distributorship for a particular brand serving your region and you are obligated to obtain goods from that company. If you are selling the goods on Ebay alone, this will not be a problem. You can choose from any wholesaler around your region as long as the shipping or drop shipping charges do not eat too much into your profit margin.

Clothing Care Guide - Cleaning & Maintenance Tips

July 22nd, 2008 by thecavernmovie2795

A person’s clothes are a reflection of who they are and how they want to be presented to the world. Devote the time and effort it takes to care for them properly and you will be rewarded with a closet full of beautiful pieces that you can wear over and over again. Here are some tips that are vital to the maintenance of your favorite clothes.

  • Use a quality hanger, preferably wood to keep your clothes looking their best.
  • Do not hang sweaters. Hanging knits will stretch them out, creating unsightly points in the shoulder area. Sweaters should be folded and stacked separately.
  • Keep cedar blocks in the closet to protect your clothes from being seriously damaged by moths. Cedar blocks are a great alternative to moth balls, which should not be used due to their health risks.
  • Be extremely careful when spraying alcohol-based substances such as perfume and hair spray around your garment. It can leave a bad stain on many different materials.
  • Always follow the care label on your garment carefully. Depending on things such as how the garment was made and addition of trims, there may be many different ways to care for a certain material.

The Colorful Culture of Tibet

July 21st, 2008 by thecavernmovie2795

Tibetan People

The people of Tibet are strong, and adaptable due to the harsh environment in which they live, but they are also extremely warm and hospitable. They are always quick to invite a visitor to Tibet into their home and serve them homemade food, and the famous Tibetan butter tea.

Food

Food, just like Tibetan culture and people has a very distinct character. Tibetan food is not only sustenance, but also helps Tibetan people survive the harsh climates. Their food keeps them warm, gives them energy, helps them with the high altitude, and gives them nutrients essential to the harsh climate. Due to the high altitude of Tibet, water boils at 90 degrees making cooking with water impossible, so Tibetan food has become very specialized. The Tibetan diet consists mostly of meat, milks and other high protein foods.

Tsampa: is a staple found at every Tibetan meal. It is a dough made with roasted barley flour and yak butter. There are two basic ways to prepare and eat Tsampa. One is to make dough with Tibetan buttered tea. The other is to make porridge with beef or mutton, and vegetables. The Tsampa dough served with buttered tea is salty, while the porridge is often served with sugar.

Buttered tea: is another staple of Tibetan cuisine. Tibetans drink butter tea because it warms them up. The buttered tea is quite salty. Some people think it tastes more like soup broth than tea.

Beef and Mutton: Tibetans live on beef, mutton and milk products. Beef and mutton contain high heat energy which is helpful in fighting the cold. Many Tibetans often eat raw meats. Tibetan noodles: are usually served in a simple vegetable or meat broth. Momos: are the favorite foods of most visitors to Tibet. They are dumplings made with either meat or vegetables.

Tibetan Dances

Nearly Every Tibetan can sing and dance. Dancing is an integral part of every Tibetan’s life. Tibetan people sing and dance for nearly every event: weddings, funerals, gatherings, and just for fun. There are many different styles of dance. Each area of Tibet has its own distinct style.

The Guoxie (village) dance is a group dance popular in rural Tibet. This dance is usually performed on open ground from sunrise to sunset. It consists of men and women dancing together in a circle.

Guozhuang (singing and dancing) dance is popular in eastern Tibet. It consists of two parts, singing, and dancing. It is an agile and vigorous dance. Men and women stand in two separate circles and sing in rotation while swaying and stamping their feet. The tempo in the beginning is slow and as the song progresses the tempo speeds up. They performers conclude their singing by shouting “Ya!”

Xie dance is accompanied by a stringed instrument. At festivals and outings men and women dance the Xie face to face in two lines. They are usually directed by one person at the head of their formation who plays a stringed instrument. The participants sing to each other to express their feelings. This dance is graceful and natural characterized by slow steps.

Qamo (sorcerer’s) dance is a religious dance. It came to Tibet along with the introduction of Buddhism. It is used to subdue evil spirits in monasteries. Originally the Qamo dance was a mime dance where participants wore ceremonial masks. A traditional livestock sacrificing ceremony was held. Since the killing of livestock goes against Buddhist doctrine, livestock are no longer killed. Drawings are now substituted. At the end of the dance the performers take an effigy of Duoma (the leading demon), made of butter and tsampa into the wilderness to burn it, which will drive away evil and bring good fortune in the coming year.

Clothing

Tibetan clothing has a strong connection with the people, and climate of “roof of the world”. The Tibetan’s clothing reflects the history, beliefs, and character of the local people.

Each area of Tibet has its own distinct style of clothing. The clothes are influenced the by the religion, and environment. Tibetan clothing consists of a robe and shirt. The Tibetan robe worn by men is broad and is normally fastened under the right arm, while the women’s are slightly narrower with or without sleeves. The robes often fastened with two cloth belts. The shirts are also fastened on the right. Men typically wear white shirts with high collars, while women wear various colors with turndown collars.

In northern Tibet, were the weather is bitterly cold, herdsmen wear a fur lined robe years round. Their robe also doubles as their quilt at night. Since the day and night temperatures vary greatly, during the day they usually do not put their arms in their sleeves, but rather tie the sleeves around their waste wearing their robe as a kind of skirt. Their fur lined robes are very bulky and have no pockets, but being fastened at the waist it gives the wearer plenty of room inside for to carry daily necessities, or even their children inside.

In pastoral areas the clothing worn by herdsmen are distinctive for their decorations. Their clothing is usually hemmed in black cloth at the front and lower edges and cuffs. Women wear aprons decorated with colorful cloth stripes.

In the south of Tibet where the weather is warm and damp, the clothing is made from hand woven woolen cloth. Both men and women button their clothing on the right. Men’s clothing are hemmed in colorful cloth, or with silk, while women normally wearing sleeveless robes.

In Lhasa, where the weather is warmer and damper many men wear double layered robes, and women dress in close-fitting robes and long sleeved shirts, with brightly decorated aprons.

The apron is one of Tibetan women’s favorite clothing articles. According to custom the aprons are only worn by married women. It is a privilege that young girls look forward too.

So Many Clothes, So Little Room!

July 19th, 2008 by thecavernmovie2795

One of the features that is most overlooked when looking for a new place to live is storage space. Most people, when searching for a new place, look at the kitchen layout, the size of the bedrooms, the bathroom features, the landscape of the yard and many other factors. They are so overwhelmed with the ever growing check list of things to look at prior to making a decision to move. However, one thing that people overlook and don’t realize they’re missing, until after they are in their new “little piece of heaven” is storage space!

New residents begin unpacking and discover that one horrible truth. They have too many clothes then they know what to do with. They fill up an entire closet and yet there are still boxes and boxes of shoes, purses, belts, hats, and suits without a home. How can something like this be resolved? Is there any way to maximize the little closet space that IS available?

Of course there is! All that is required here is a little closet organization. There are several easy ways to modify a capacity challenged closet. Best of all, most of these methods are rather inexpensive and quick to install. Some tips include:

  • Install cubbies in which you can fold pants and place them on top of each other. This can be done for shirts also.
  • Install a shoe rack in which you can display all shoes neatly and orderly rather then in a pile covering the floor.
  • Separate clothing by style and color. This gives the clothes an appealing look.
  • Place clothes that aren’t worn often in closet organization containers and store them under the bed.
  • Utilize that shelf on top of the closet.

There are many more tips available. This is only a few to get you started. Closet Organization doesn’t have to be overnight.

By just using some of the above easy tips, you can save drastic amounts of space. It doesn’t take much! Even a single closet organizer can save you from having to throw old clothes away.

Last Day of School - 5 Tips For a Smooth Transition Into Summer

July 18th, 2008 by thecavernmovie2795

The week of the last day of school always brings a flurry of activity and excitement at our house. This year brought two school picnics, an awards ceremony and even a kindergarten “graduation”.

It’s going to be a busy summer here as I’m sure it’s going to be for your family too. Here is a list of things to do around that last day of school so you can hit the ground running into summer.

  1. Pack Away School Clothes
  2. If your kids wear school uniforms, or if they have a wardrobe intended for school only, now is a good time to sort them and get rid of anything they can’t use again. Gather all the school clothes and go through them. First pull anything that’s stained or torn beyond repair and trash it. Wash the rest making sure to fix any tears and pre-treat stains before you put them in the machine.

Check the sizes as you fold the clean stuff and put anything that can’t be used or handed down to another child in a “give away” pile. Donate those to your nearest charity, or donate them to your child’s school. Most uniform schools have a “clothing closet” where parents can drop of hand-me-downs and exchange or purchase gently worn uniform items that will fit. Store everything else in a plastic storage bin so it doesn’t get mixed in with summer play clothes.

In the fall just pull the clean clothes from the storage bin and they’re ready to be worn again.

In addition to clearing out school clothes, stash or trash old school papers, memos and notebooks so they don’t sit around and become clutter.

  3. Pull out Summer Clothes
  4. Once the school clothes are put away pull out the summer clothes. Give away anything that’s been outgrown and make a list of items you need to purchase. Flip flops and swimsuits usually need to be replaced each season.

With growing kids, lots of outdoor play, summer camp and vacation, summer clothes only last two seasons at our house if I’m lucky, so I don’t like to spend a lot of money on shorts and t-shirts. Check out your local second hand store. There are some second hand chains that specialize in children’s clothing. You can find gently used items that will look just as good but cost much less than brand new.

It also isn’t as painful for you if something gets torn or stained almost as soon as your kids put it on.

  5. Plan Summertime Activities
  6. Make note of everyone’s summer activities on your calendar. If your kids go to camp make sure to note any field trips and special days when you might need to send additional money, or a packed lunch. Don’t forget to make note of the family vacation.

Anybody coming to visit you this summer? Don’t forget to make a note of those days as well.

Also note any summertime community events and make plans to attend. Outdoor exhibits, summer concerts, festivals and picnics are all great, inexpensive family activities.

  7. Plan Cool Summer Meals
  8. Are you dreading having to cook in the heat of the summer? Me too. Find some good summertime recipes that don’t require heat to prepare them and stash them in your recipe box. Pasta salads, and cold sandwich dinners are fun around the kitchen table in the summer.

Plan for one grill night each week and do your cooking outdoors. If you don’t own an outdoor grill you can buy one for less than $30 at your local discount store (Wal-Mart, Target, etc..). Even a small tabletop (outdoor) grill is big enough to fire up some burgers and hotdogs for a family of four.

  9. Stock up on Summer Essentials
  10. If you need to replace your cooler now is the time to do it. They are available everywhere and come in all sizes and price ranges. I keep one in our van for cool drinks on long drives, and I have another with wheels for those trips to the beach. (Coolers with wheels. Don’t you wish you’d thought of that first??)

    Stock up on sunblock.

Get everyone, even the little ones, some UVA/UVB blocking sunglasses, and don’t forget the hats and visors to keep the sun off everyone’s face. Don’t forget the sand toys. Dollar stores are a good place to find affordable beach and pool toys.

Lastly, don’t forget a supply of paper plates, plastic eating utensils and picnic supplies to keep on hand for impromptu cook outs.

Don’t forget to relax and have fun with your kids this summer.

Buy Quality Bargain Ski Clothing

July 15th, 2008 by thecavernmovie2795

If you and your family are ski fans, then you understand how expensive ski clothes can be and how fast your children can grow out of them. Ski clothing is only part of the equipment that you need to go skiing. You also need skis, poles, snowboards or ski boots. While you can rent some of these items when you get to the ski location, the clothing is something that you need to bring with you. Your ski clothing should not cost as much as your ski equipment or your ski trip! Consider shopping for used clothing for your family to find great pieces at affordable prices. Every year families sell or donate their used ski clothing and equipment, giving you the opportunity to find great bargains if you know where and how to search.

You can find used ski clothing in consignment shops, thrift stores, resale shops and online. There are several factors to consider and strategies to implement to ensure that you find great used ski clothing at affordable prices. Also consider selling your used ski clothing to re-sell shops, online or to consignment shops to earn capital to replace the items for yourself and your family.

To start, consider affordable brands. If there are clothing brands that you are familiar with or favor, call ahead to physical stores to find out what their selections are. When you are shopping online, you can type in the search engine ‘Used (Brand Name) Used Clothing’ to find a list of possibilities. When you are on an online auction site such as Ebay, you can also type in their search engine to pull up clothes that come up under that particular brand.

If you are looking for high quality, or newer ski clothing, start your search at an online auction site, online consignment shop or physical consignment shop. Each of these store types will often sell newer clothing in better condition than other used clothing stores. Be sure to ask questions, search for recognizable brands and compare prices before you make your purchase from a retail store. The disadvantage to shopping online is that you cannot try the clothes on and you may not be able to return them. Use a reputable site and read as much as possible about both the item and the Seller before completing your purchase. Also be sure to factor in the shipping costs into your overall price to ensure that you are getting the discount that you were searching for when shopping online.

When you are able to visit a physical store, take any family members that you are buying ski clothing for with you so that they can try the items on. If you have growing members of your family, consider a slightly bigger size and if there are multiples sizes available, buy a few sizes of the same item for each person. The prices will often allow you to do this and if the clothing is outgrown, you can re-sell it or donate it the following season. Review the clothing for any defects and if it is something minor like a missing button or a stain that you can easily fix, purchase the item at a deeper discount and fix it yourself.

Shopping for used ski clothing can be a great solution to stock up for your family ski trips at affordable prices.
